Polyurethane Breast Implants for Breast Augmentation Surgery (“Furry Brazilian”)
Silimed Polyurethane Breast Implants have replaced the textured breast implant previously used in breast augmentation surgery. It is normally a reconstructive implant used typically after reconstructive surgery following a mastectomy. It has approximately 20 years of use in mainly South America and so far the data suggests that the incidence of complications of capsular contracture associated with breast augmentation appears to have been reduced to about 1%.
